HH Angus designs M & E services for eBay’s Historic King Street Building

EBay Inc. has moved into its new Post & Beam building in downtown Toronto.  HH Angus’ Tenant Group provided mechanical and electrical engineering and fire protection design for the new/old space. The historic building will also house ebay’s PayPal, Kijiji and StubHub offices.  The project provided some interesting design challenges in order to deliver infrastructure elements suited to the exposed brick walls and low ceiling beams.  Close coordination with the Architect (Lawrence Malek of Sirlin, Giller & Malek) was required in order to direct ductwork so that it was strategically placed for the most visually pleasing results. The success of the Tenant Group’s work was due in large part to the upfront investment in time spent to understand and assess the site prior to start of design.
