The annual design/build competition “showcases the Toronto design community’s best and brightest”, and benefits the Daily Bread Food Bank. The competition took place on the site of long-time HH Angus client, the Toronto Dominion Centre.
CANstruction features structures built with cans of food, and was organized by the Consulting Engineers of Ontario, the Society for Design Administration Canada and the Design Exchange.
The design was built with almost 3000 cans of food supplied by HH Angus, and represents a donation of 2800 pounds of food for the Daily Bread Food Bank. The CANstruction team selected their cans of food based on choices that would provide a complete meal to clients of the food bank. Our team needed only 4.5 hours to complete their design, and was one of the first to finish, thanks to a highly-organized effort and a well-rehearsed plan.
Congratulations to our hard-working team and to the organizers and sponsors.
