Following the groundbreaking ceremony on April 25th 2012, HH Angus’ mechanical and electrical consulting engineering work begins on the new greenfield project, Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills, Ontario.  We are working in collaboration with mda engineers out of Maumee, Ohio. Project architects are Simon Property Group, Petroff Architects and The Collaborative.

The centre is a joint project by U.S. outlet mall developer giant, Simon Property Group Inc., and Ontario-based Calloway Real Estate Investment Trust. It brings the popular American-style high-end outlet mall concept to Canada.  Premium Outlets has already opened 70 centres in the U.S., Japan, Puerto Rico and Korea.  The Halton Hills location will feature 500,000 ft2 of retail space and more than 100 designer outlet stores.  The site, at Trafalger Road and Steeles in Halton Hills, is within an hour’s drive of 6 million bargain hunters and, when complete, will save many shoppers the hassle of cross-border shopping.

The first phase of the retail centre is expected to open to the public by August 2013.
