HH Angus is providing mechanical and electrical engineering design for three stations (Mt. Pleasant, Bayview and Laird) on the new Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT) line in Toronto. We bring substantial experience in M&E consulting engineering services for municipal and regional transportation systems and support infrastructure, as well as for passenger safety and the passenger experience (eg fire prevention, tunnel ventilation, security, CCTV, lighting, etc.).
The Eglinton Crosstown is expected to provide transit service that is up to 60 percent faster than bus service today. The ECLRT will run along a 19-kilometre corridor following Eglinton Avenue, including a 10-kilometre underground portion. The line will feature 25 stations and stops, linking to bus routes, three subway stations and various GO Transit lines. Construction on the ECLRT began in 2011 and it is anticipated to begin welcoming passengers in 2021.
