HH Angus designed the mechanical and electrical engineering for this long term care and rehabilitation facility. The 217,000 ft2 building features 215 long term care beds, 30 beds for medically complex (chronic) care program, and 10 rehabilitation care beds.
The mechanical design incorporates total enthalpy heat recovery wheels for the ventilation of the resident wings.  Boilers are high efficiency, feeding hot water to heating coils that provide local room control on a grouped basis.  The project qualified under the Federal CBIP program by using 25% less energy than a building meeting the National Energy Code.
