Toronto Dominion Centre

Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Cadillac Fairview

We’re proud to have been associated with this iconic landmark since its earliest days, having provided complete mechanical and electrical engineering services in the construction of four towers, a total of 5,600,000 ft2.  Our Base Building services for the Centre included mechanical rooms, risers, motor control centres, transformer vaults, incoming services and plumbing riser stacks.

In the past few years, our Tenant Engineering group has been involved in ongoing retrofits to the 40+ year old Centre. These include M & E improvements to support LEED® EB standards, infrastructure upgrades to tenant space in conjunction with building envelope renewal, and reworking of the outdoor plaza to improve drainage.

The Toronto Dominion Centre, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, was at one time the tallest building in Canada. The TD Centre altered the city’s skyline and influenced many subsequent buildings across the nation.
